Tasting note
Intense ruby red, great vivacity, with violet notes. Red fresh fruits such as raspberry, strawberry and cherry; combined with spices. The palate is sweet and harmonious, balanced acidity and long and persistence final. Good aging potential because of its structure, it can be stored for 4 years.
Unique Selling Point
Munay celebrates the spirit of Cafayate with vibrant, high-altitude wines that blend pure fruit, fresh acidity and an approachable style inspired by the Quechua word for “love.”
Viticulture
Known for its stunning red rock formations, high-altitude Cafayate Valley has an extreme desert climate, poor soils, warm days/ cool nights and very little rainfall makes it easy to practice integrated, sustainable and organic viticulture. Further, the wide thermal amplitude allows grapes to become highly concentrated, resulting in smooth, delicious wines.
Vinification
Cold pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days at 5 degrees C. Alcoholic fermentation lasted approximately 14 days at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28 degrees C. Post-fermentation maceration for approximately 15 days. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
Food Match
Classic Argentinian cuisine. Mainly beef and barbecues.
