Tasting note
Argentinian Malbec, rich and filled with berries, plum jam, and the fine, perfumed acidity of redcurrants. Alongside this, you will find the elegant scent of violets on the nose, plus the sweetness of vanilla and a smear of dark chocolate.
Viticulture
Deep, rocky, nutrient-poor soils irrigated by Andean meltwater. A 22°C day-night temperature swing, just 120mm of annual rainfall, 15% humidity and 350 sunny days create intensely coloured wines with concentrated aromas, rich flavours and a distinctive fruity character.
Vinification
Hand-picked grapes undergo cold pre-fermentation maceration at 8°C in stainless steel. Fermentation with native and selected yeasts is followed by malolactic fermentation with oak. 70% of the wine ages for 12 months in French and American oak, then is blended with 30% preserved in stainless steel.
Food Match
Ideal with traditional Argentinean dishes based on red meats also with hard cheeses and smoked cold cuts.
