Tasting note
A delicate aroma of ripe fruit, a mouthful of pears with a spray of lemon and a freshness that's almost menthol.
Vineyard
In the 12th century, Etienne Comte de Sancerre gifted the religious order of the Grandmontains a hillside in the village of Ménétréol. Well aware of the exceptional quality of the soil, they developed viticulture there. Domaine Laporte cultivates 4,8 hectares in the heart of this locality, whose soil in composed of clay rich in stones.
Viticulture
Certified organic vineyard for 15 years, Careful observance of nature, control of grape vigour/concentration, yields control, terroirs selected for their quality.
Vinification
Low-pressure pressing and juice selection. Cold stabilisation to preserve maximum nutrients for our biovarietal yeasts. Thermoregulation of alcoholic fermentation. Our white wines undergo partial malolactic fermentation, which promotes microbiological stability and allows for very limited use of sulphites. Aged on lees until bottling.
