Tasting note
This is Grenache and Merlot, with a sneaky dose of Cabernet Sauvignon. The irresistibly plump red berry, cherry and spice aromas and flavours are backed up by subtle tannin structure from the Cabernet. This is lip-smackingly delicious, perfectly-proportioned and complete, and superb value for money.
Viticulture
To respect the biodiversity and ecosystems of the Étang de Thau, Belle Mare combines sustainable agriculture and vineyard management in keeping with HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale - High Environmental Quality) certification, to provide wines elaborated in compliance with the requirements for preserving nature.
Vinification
Harvested early in the morning to preserve the fruit. Total destemming and selection of the berries before vatting. Controlled fermentation at 25°C for about 20 days. Grape varieties vinified separately and blended before bottling
