Tasting note
Pronounced aromas of citrus and tropical fruit, plus a touch of honey. On the palate, vivid fruit intensity is perfectly balanced by bright acidity, creating a broad, textured mouthfeel that stays fresh, with a very long finish.
Viticulture
Grown on alluvial soil in the Isla de Maipo, Maipo Valley.
Vinification
Hand-harvested; whole clusters pressed under oxidative conditions. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in previously used 228 L French oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 12 months on its lees in 2,500 L Austrian foudres. No malolactic fermentation, and only lightly filtered prior to bottling.
