Tasting note
Many-layered Shiraz from South Australia, wafting blossom and black pepper into the nose, mulberry, rhubarb and plum into the mouth, followed by a lasting hit of aniseed, liquorice and spice.
Viticulture
The 2018 vintage in McLaren Vale was defined by a wet 2017 growing season that provided healthy soil moisture, followed by an unusually dry summer that resulted in low disease pressure and reduced yields. Favourable ripening conditions in February, marked by warm days and cool nights, ultimately delivered fruit with remarkable concentration and high quality
Vinification
Handcrafted Excellence: Small grape batches gently crushed, separate until final blend. Foot treading mid-fermentation. Basket pressed, aged in French and American oak on lees. No racking, no fining, no filtration, expect harmless bottle deposit. Pure, unadulterated.
