Tasting note
Powerful yet refined, with complex aromas of dried rose, red cherry, wild strawberry and orange peel, layered with notes of truffle, tobacco, sweet spice and cedar. The palate is elegant and structured, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, savoury finish marked by mineral depth and spice.
Viticulture
Nebbiolo is grown in a tiny 1.2 hectare vineyard at 400 metres above sea level, one of the highest sites in Barbaresco. The elevated position provides cool nights and a long growing season, preserving freshness and acidity while encouraging slow ripening, producing fruit with exceptional concentration, elegance and ageing potential.
Vinification
Hand-harvested Nebbiolo grapes undergo a long temperature-controlled fermentation with extended skin maceration to extract colour, aroma and refined tannins. The wine is matured for several years in large oak casks before extended bottle ageing, allowing the flavours to integrate and develop the complexity and elegance expected of a Barbaresco Riserva.
