Tasting note

Many estates would be proud to call this their first wine, but it's Château Talbot's second: a charming, approachable blend of black fruits, scented with spice and tobacco.

Vineyard

St-Julien is ieally situated on the banks of the Gironde estuary on hilltops of alluvial gravel carried by the Dordogne River from the Massif Central and from the Pyrenees by the Garonne. Château Talbot’s vineyards extend over 111 hectares in a single block.

Viticulture

Made from vines averageing 28 years old, unusual for a second wine. Harvested between 27th September and 11th October with a yield of 44hl/ha.

Food Match

An exciting match with grilled saddle of lamb.
