Tasting note
Elegant red Bordeaux, packed with blackberries and fragrant with spice and a wisp of smoke.
Viticulture
The 30-hectare vineyard lies partly next to Château Latour and partly on the Bages plateau, south of Pauillac. It spans two soil types: deep gravel and clay-limestone with chalk. These soils lend the wine power and a mineral character. Much of the vineyard overlooks the Gironde estuary, benefiting from its ideal exposure.
Vinification
Traditional in stainless and concrete vats, whose volumes are proportional to the plots. Aged in oak barrels for16 months, 40% of which are new oak.
Food Match
A delicious pairing with locally delights Agneau de Pauillac or Entrecôte à la Bordelaise.
