Tasting note
Our Petite Sirah is bold and full-bodied, with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and plum layered with leather, cedar, and smoked tobacco. Flavors of ripe blackberry, anise, and clove unfold on the palate, framed by firm tannins. The lingering finish offers intensity, pleasure, and aging potential.
Vinification
Clarksburg's Lake Winchester vineyard experiences a cooling effect from the nearby Sacramento River Delta and San Francisco Bay, giving it a climate which resembles that of the Napa Valley, favouring the production of outstanding Petite Sirah. This special wine is aged 22 months in American oak barrels to soften the tannins and add flavours and complexity.
