Tasting note
This wine shows a deep purple color with violet hues. On the nose, it offers intense black fruit aromas with subtle floral and toasted notes. On the palate, it is highly concentrated, with pronounced flavors of cassis and raspberries, and a slight hint of chocolate and sweet spices from the oak aging. The finish is long, with ripe, silky tannins.
Viticulture
From growers in the Lunlunta District at 3,018 ft (920 m) elevation and the Uco Valley.
Vinification
This wine goes through an extensive cold maceration for about 2-8 days at 8ºC, followed by an 8-15 days fermentation and total maceration of around 15-18 days in stainless-steel tanks. Selected yeast. Full malolactic fermentation. Aged for 6-10 months in French oak.
