Tasting note
Alamos Malbec Velvet presents a deep purple colour with violet reflections. Its aroma evokes intense red fruits with some floral notes. On the palate, it shows great concentration, featuring flavors of raspberries and a slight hint of chocolate; some sweet spices emerge from oak aging. Sweet and silky tannins lead to a long finish.
Viticulture
Grown in high altitude vineyards in the Andes foothills, from the Uco Valley and Lujan de Cuyo, that benefit from intense sunlight, cool evenings, and mountain snowmelt irrigation.
Vinification
Each varietal is fermented separately in aged French oak as well as in stainless steel and concrete tanks. The wine undergoes several pump-overs to extract colour and flavour. 25% is aged in French oak barrels for 6 to 8 months.
