Tasting note
A fresh, mineral-driven wine with bright fruit character and lively acidity. Notes of ripe early-season fruit are balanced by a distinct saline edge from the calcareous soils, bringing tension, precision and a refreshing sense of length. The palate is clean and focused, with a gently savoury, mouth-watering finish.
Viticulture
Bodega Cerrón is a family project representing the fourth generation of winemakers in the village of Fuente-Álamo (Jumilla PDO). They practice sustainable viticulture through biodynamic cultivation of their own vineyards, planted on their own rootstock in calcareous soils at altitudes of 870 to 980 meters.
Vinification
Harvest and manual selection of the grapes. Cold maceration and direct pressing of the grapes. Spontaneous fermentation in large volume French oak barrels and foudres.
