Tasting note
A blend of Corvina, Sangiovese Grosso, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby red, with aromas of redcurrant, blackberry and cocoa, layered with black pepper, clove and nutmeg. The palate is rich yet vibrant, revealing sour cherry, black tea and concentrated dark fruit, supported by fine powdery tannins and a long coffee bean finish.
Viticulture
The wine is made from 80% Corvina, 10% Sangiovese Grosso, 5% Syrah and 5% Cabernet Sauv, grown in hillside vineyards surrounding the historic winery. Guyot-trained vines, planted at 5,000 vines per hectare on limestone and clay soils, benefit from warm days and cool nights, producing concentrated fruit with vibrant acidity and freshness.
Vinification
Each variety is harvested separately at optimum ripeness and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Gentle extraction preserves fruit purity while building structure and complexity. The individual wines are then carefully blended and matured before bottling, creating a balanced, elegant and harmonious final wine.
