Domaine de Barroubio
A show-stopping, perfectly balanced fortified dessert wine from this 27 hectare estate located in the small, picturesque village of Saint Jean de Minervois, just to the west of Béziers. The owner and winemaker, Raymond Miquel, carries out thorough organoleptic analysis whilst the Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains grapes are still on the vine in order to achieve the perfect balance of sugar, acidity and ripeness. Only when Raymond is completely happy does he hand-harvest, sort and ferment the grapes at a cool temperature to preserve the delicate Muscat aromas. Fermentation is arrested by fortifying with grape spirit.
