This year marks a very special milestone - the 30th anniversary of Enotria’s partnership with Planeta.
To honour this long-standing collaboration, the 2024 harvest of Planeta Chardonnay will be released as a celebratory edition, accompanied by a unique cultural project that reflects the spirit and vision of Planeta.
This wine has been fundamental to our shared journey - iconic, pioneering and deeply connected to both our portfolios. It deserves to be celebrated and presented in the right way: in true Planeta style.
Those familiar with Planeta will know their longstanding commitment to cultural initiatives. Looking towards contemporary art felt like a natural evolution.
For this 30th anniversary vintage, each six-bottle case will contain one special bottle featuring a label reproducing On Fire (2023) by the artistic collective Claire Fontaine.

The artwork is part of the Planeta Collection and is displayed at Ulmo - the birthplace of this wine. The piece transforms the familiar flame emoji into a luminous lightbox sculpture, offering a powerful dual reflection on climate change and the nature of social relationships in our time. By featuring the artwork on just one bottle per case, Planeta preserves both its exclusivity and the instantly recognisable identity that has defined Chardonnay for over thirty years. Each bottle will also carry a QR code explaining the full concept behind the project.
The celebration of this 30th harvest will extend into 2026 with a global tour across key cities including London, Milan, Munich, Tokyo and New York. Hosted in contemporary art venues, these events will bring together media, trade partners and wine lovers to explore the intersection of wine, culture and place.
The 2024 vintage in Sicily was truly outstanding for Chardonnay. Ideal weather - gentle warmth, balanced rainfall, and no extreme heat - allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly while retaining crisp acidity. The wines from this vintage are aromatic and expressive. Planeta Chardonnay 2024 is a fresh, with bright citrus, tropical fruit and delicate floral notes framed by elegant minerality and balanced acidity. Medium-bodied and smooth, it is versatile and terroir-driven, making it perfect with seafood, light pasta, soft cheeses or simply enjoyed on its own.

To create a lasting impact in Sicily, Planeta will also release a limited Jeroboam edition of the 2024 Chardonnay, with 300 individually numbered bottles.
Proceeds from this special release will fund the creation of a Rural Landscape Itinerary within the Selinunte Archaeological Park - a project designed to enhance and celebrate the unique cultural and agricultural heritage of the region. Thirty years of partnership is more than a milestone - it is a shared story of vision, quality and ambition. We are proud to celebrate it alongside Planeta and look forward to raising a glass to the next chapter.
