Around The World With Pinot Noir

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

Special Event: Wine Savvy Consulting - Tuesday January 23, 2007 - 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Even before the movie Sideways, Pinot Noir had the rep of being the most difficult wine to make, yet the most rewarding to drink when the vintner gets it right. Terroir and technique matter with Pinot, so the more you know, the savvier you’ll buy, whether it’s from Burgundy, California, Willamette Valley or even Down Under. Come taste the best regions and producers, splurges and savvy buys from $20-$80, and see if they inspire any screenplay soliliquies.

Special Guest: How does a Minnesota farm boy studying oceanography in the Virgin Islands become a celebrated winemaker chasing his Pinot Noir muse in Oregon and California’s Central Coast? Find out as we chat with Nathan Carlson, visiting from Tolosa Winery.

Note: This private event is being held in the wine salon next to the restaurant.
