9/25/07 - SAKE Tasting

KikusuiTheme: Sake - Non-Blind - The wines have been flown in from Japan, specifically for this event.

Note: The “SAKE” are some of the very best, many of which are produced by artisans and shipped in exquisite hand-painted bottles.  A professor at Tokyo university had his students search for “THE BEST SAKE” as a project. The cost for the SAKE will be spread evenly between the participants.  ($30 per person if we have 12 participants, $22 per person if we have 16 participants.).

When: Tuesday 9/25/07

Time: 6:30 pm

Where: Enotria Restaurant & Wine Bar (Wine Salon).

Food Cost: $10 for cheese, bread crackers and service.

Dinner Cost: We are doing a dinner buffet after the tasting, to begin promptly at 8:30, at the total inclusive cost of $30 per person. This is optional and held after the tasting is over.

Theme:  Zinfandel / Primitivo

Appetizers:  20% off of the menu price, on Thursday nights.

Corkage:  Enotria is waiving corkage fees, so dig through your cellar and pick out something special in the way of a Zinfandel or Primitivo.

It’s not mandatory that you chime in and get on the list, although it would be helpful in deciding where we should try to be situated in the restaurant… e.g. 5 or 6 people could easily sit at the bar, if the restaurant wasn’t very busy. 8 to 10 people would fit nicely by the widows, closest to the front door. If we have more than 10 people, we would probably want to be seated in the back room… Or, the outdoor patio, depending upon the temperature.
